My existing earthing shows the reading of 8 ohm, how i can reduce this.?

There are many options to reduce the earth resistance

  1. by watering the earth pit
  2. By Bonding with the RCC steel rods of the building
  3. making an other earth pit and loop them

There are also chemical treatments and other specific types of back fill you can surround the electrode with.  The areas closest to the electrode have the greatest influence so you don't need to provide extensive amounts of material.  You need to be careful about the long term stability of this type of treatment.

You can also consider revising the electrode type (a better approach in my opinion) - using buried strips, star configurations.  As suggested by suchdave06 above looping, additional earth pits, connecting to reinforcing help as well.  Most problems I have encountered with high resistance earth problems ave been resolved by rearrangement of the earth electrode system.

hi bruqpa?

its nice question

thanks a lot to give an opportunity to answer this query.

best  option is

make an another earth pit near to existing earth pit

and make parrell connection with the old one.

through this u can minimise your earthing resistance.

normally good earthing resistance valve is 0-5ohm
